In what’s fast becoming the most anticipated release of February, there are tons of you desperate for a win on the Yeezy 700 Salt. But like many big releases from Kanye West, there’s even more people that are still on the fence. Is the Salt worthy of that £250 price tag or are you best waiting for the Intertia’s?! These are the questions that need answering and thankfully, we have the answers.
For those of you that do need convincing, here’s 5 reasons why you need a win on the Yeezy 700 Salt.
1. These are the first Yeezys of 2019
Looking back through the history of Yeezy trainers, it’s often those that released at the start of the year that went on to become the most lucrative. Take for example, the Yeezy Boost 350 ‘Beluga’ – a shoe which still commands over £500+ on the resell market. Given the Salt is this year’s debut style, it could be worth claiming a future collectors item!
2. It’s understated…kind of
Okay, so just how understated can you make the oversized Yeezy 700?! Whilst it’s always going to grab attention, the Salt is about as low-key as it’s going to get. Tonal uppers and the lack of any bright overlays makes these especially versatile. That said, there are some subtle touches of 3M material to the sidewall but who doesn’t love that reflective contrast?!
3. They’re limited
According to several sources, only 7,000 units will be launched across adidas EU. That would put this colourway on par with the Yeezy 700 Static – a current best-seller in the reselling game. Admittedly, several other 700s – including more V2 models – are launching this Spring. But do you really want to be the person that missed out on the most exclusive model?!
4. You won’t have a second chance
Given that the Yeezy 700 Salt is so limited, you can expect these to sellout instantly when they launch via adidas. Unlike last year’s less exclusive colourways, there could even be re-sellers attempting to cop, just to turn a quick profit. As such, any chance of restocks and large size runs releasing elsewhere is unlikely. Once these are gone, they’re gone!
5. You deserve it
Lastly and most importantly; you deserve it – we all do! As sneaker collectors, it can sometimes be difficult to justify another pair of trainers. But when do you ever regret buying an ultra-exclusive pair of kicks?! Even if you do get your wear out of them, these Yeezys can always be resold a year or two from now – and for surprisingly good money. That might justify that £250 outlay because let’s face it, it is steep, even for a Yeezy.
If in doubt, you can always return these if you really don’t love them and wait for the Yeezy 700 Inertia – thought to be up next!
For now, be sure to stay glued to @thesolesupplier for more updates on the Yeezy 700 Salt. These launch via adidas UK this Saturday, 23rd February at 7am. That’s right, this is another early launch, so set those alarms early!
