You heard it here first: the Yeezy 700 V2 'Tephra' is going to be one of the hottest sneakers of 2019. Since they were officially announced last month, sneakerheads everywhere have been praising its unique design, with some going as far as calling it the best "earth toned Yeezy ever made";. With all that said, we're taking our most detailed look yet, thanks to sneaker insider @solebyjc.
The first thing you'll notice about the 'Tephra' is the clean light grey upper that's crafted from a premium combination of materials. Working on an ultra breathable mesh base, luxe leather panels make up the lacing system, while buttery smooth suede arrives on the toe box and heel, creating a look that's made to turn heads. As you move downwards, the suede actually turns into darker grey, and then you'll be hit with the chunky midsole that's an art piece in itself.
Sculpted to perfection, this hefty foam unit actually houses a full length bed of Boost for comfort like nothing else out there. 3M reflective accents grace the lateral heel, while a gum rubber outsole features down below for added durability and traction with every step. While this might not sit well with everyone, we think the inclusion of the gum makes these even more interesting to look at.
Set to drop on June 15th over at adidas UK and select stockists, the Yeezy 700 V2 'Tephra' is one of the most underrated Kanye x adidas sneakers ever made. Let us know if you'll be adding a pair to your summer rotation, and while you're here, be sure to take a look at the full adidas sneaker range!
