When the adidas Ultra Boost 1.0 first broke into the scene back in 2015, it completely transformed the sneaker industry. A revolutionary shoe that used innovative technology to make running a breeze, it made its debut in three iconic colourways, namely 'Core Black', 'Solar Red', and 'Solar Yellow'. Now, after four years and thousands of new colourways, the Three Stripes is going back to the beginning and bringing back the latter two, and here's what we know so far!
Regarded by both sneakerheads and athletes as the "best running shoe ever made";, both the 'Solar Red' and 'Solar Yellow' feature a full Primeknit upper that's painted in a solid tone and finished with specks of black. A midfoot cage provides wearers with unbelievable support, and paired with the back heel cup, the stability is off the charts. Down below, a full length Boost midsole makes an appearance, complete with a Continental rubber outsole for the perfect balance between comfort and traction.
While this design might seem quite simple at first, it was truly groundbreaking when it was announced by adidas back in '15. Since then, the UB still leads the charge in terms of running shoes, so we're pretty hyped that these OG colourways are finally making a comeback.
According to our sources, the adidas Ultra Boost 1.0 'Solar Red' and 'Solar Yellow' will hit shelves on October 3rd. Release details have yet to be confirmed by the Three Stripes themselves, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more launch info as it develops!
