If you haven’t noticed already, 2017 is basically the year that every iconic trend came back to life. The indestructible Nokia brick that you used to have as a kid is back from the dead, a new SNES is coming out, people are running around playing Pokemon, there’s a new Harry Potter book in stores, double denim is once again a thing, and now, adidas Originals is reviving one of the most iconic sneakers in history.
Originally released as all-purpose performance trainer for the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games, the aptly named Montreal 76 comes in two colourways. The first one is painted in a deep navy shade, which is the same on the original model, and the second is draped in a monochrome black combo.
Retaining design elements from its first issue, including its brown rubber foxing tape, collapsible heel counter, and perforated round toe, the adidas Originals Montreal 76 is set to drop at select retailers on December 13th. What do you think of the retro runner? Are you a fan of its classic design? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
