A Closer Look At The Gyakusou x NikeLab Gaiter Boot

For the winter season, Jun Takahashi’s Gyakusou label is stepping off the running track and into the realm of off-road plains with the NikeLab Gaiter Boot. Channeling a rebellious aesthetic, the shoe is inspired by the trend of unorthodox designs which has been making waves this year.

Boasting an avant garde aesthetic with vibrant hits of orange, a unique zip construction, heel toggles, and a sock like collar, the Gaiter Boot is almost an extension of Errolson Hugh’s Nike ACG Komyuter, making it obvious that NikeLab has a clear design direction for its all-conditions footwear on both the ACG and general fronts.

Nike hasn’t yet announced a European release date for the Gyakusou x NikeLab Gaiter Boot, but if the rumours are correct, they should drop before the end of the year. In other winter boot news, have you seen the Nike Air VaporMax Mid? Boasting a newly beefed up outdoors design with a reinforced lacing system, support straps on the midfoot, bungee laces, as well as a padded heel for added comfort, it’s unlike any Air VaporMax we’ve seen before, and you need to check it out now!
