At the end of last year, images surfaced showcasing the never before seen adidas Originals NMD TS1 online. Painted in a khaki colourway with hits of red and grey throughout, the sneaker is unlike anything we’ve seen before. Now, new images have emerged showing the TS1 painted in a stealthy ‘Triple Black‘.
Featuring a more versatile shade, it doesn’t take away from the fact that this Nomad is unique. Like the CS1, the TS1 does away with any conventional lacing system, adopting a toggle and string approach that you’d normally find on backpacks and coats.
To actually wear the NMD, you have to lift up the tongue first, where you’ll be presented by a pair of velcro pads. Moving towards the heel portion, a leather badge can be seen, reminiscent of the NMD XR1.
Of course, like pretty much all NMDs that have dropped since the beginning of time, the NMD TS1 sits on top of a full length Boost midsole for added comfort, and like the R1, a pair of EVA plugs flank the midsole providing wearers with extra stability. This is also helped by the tape present along the lateral side of the shoe.
Other than the fact that these are infused with Gore-Tex, absolutely no other info on the adidas Originals NMD TS1 ‘Triple Black’ is available yet, but assuming they aren’t just a scrapped sample, you should expect the intriguing model to debut sometime in September.
