As if out of nowhere, official photos of the adidas Ultra Boost 4.0 ‘Chinese New Year’ just surfaced online. Images courtesy of Sole Collector, these sneakers very much resemble the coveted Ultra Boost 3.0 ‘Chinese New Year’ that dropped at the end of last year, but with a bit of added pizzazz.
Boasting a black and red Primeknit upper which makes use of the 4.0’s more refined pattern, the new ‘CNY’ sits on top of a full length Boost midsole, which is complemented beautifully by a bright red Continental rubber outsole for added comfort and durability.
Black lining and laces are present on the sneaker, and the design is finished off with the help of a matte black cage and heel cup. The official ‘CNY’ logo also features centred on the tongue. Unlike the 3.0 iteration, this shoe will feature the conventional Ultra Boost insole instead of the floral patterned one from yesteryear, which is a bit of shame.
Pretty much nothing else is known about the adidas Ultra Boost 4.0 ‘Chinese New Year’, but according to rumours, the shoe will drop early next year. Chinese New Year is on February 16th in 2018, so we should see these drop before then, however, it must be said that this won’t be an easy cop, so if you’re thinking of bagging a pair, you’re going to need all the luck you can get.
