Where the hell did the time go? It seems like just last week we were rounding up the best sneakers of 2017, and now, we’re already in summer. That being said, a serious amount of heat is about to hit the market in June, and to commemorate these fire sneakers, we’ve handpicked a selection of shoes that you’ll definitely want in your collections.
The most controversial Yeezy to ever release, the adidas Yeezy 500 ‘Super Moon Yellow’ is finally dropping on June 9th! Constructed of a combination of mesh, suede, and leather, the ‘Super Moon Yellow’ doesn’t feature any Boost cushioning, and instead opts for adiPrene technology. A strange choice for sure, but still dope nonetheless. Will the ‘Super Moon Yellow’ see the same success as the ‘Blush‘? Only time will tell.
Whether you like it or not, the dad shoe trend is here to stay, and adidas Originals is following up on the massive success of the Yeezy 700 Wave Runner with the release of the adidas Originals Yung-1 ‘Hi-Res Orange’ on June 20th. Constructed from a combination of breathable mesh and premium suede, the Yung-1 is inspired by the adidas Falcon Dorf from the late ’90s, with a newly revamped sole. Is it as hyped as the Yeezy 500? Probably not. Is it fire though? Definitely.
Featuring all the elements of last year’s Off-White x Nike Air Presto, from the red zip tie to the bold Helvetica font on the heel and small orange tab under the delicately stitched Swoosh, the stealthy Off-White x Nike Air Presto ‘Black’ offers a tonal take on the unique silhouette. Slated to drop on June 21st, is your bank account ready?
Leaked back in April, the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 ‘Cactus Jack’ pays homage to the former NFL team of Scott’s hometown of Houston, the Oilers. ‘University Blue’ suede covers the upper, while black accents grace the rest of the features commonly seen on the Air Jordan 4. We are beyond hyped for this release, which is dropping on June 22nd.
Last year’s Off-White x Air Jordan 1 completely changed the sneaker game. Crowned by the Footwear News Achievement Awards as the ‘Shoe Of The Year’, the collaborative shoe has quickly became the holy grail for many sneakerheads, and the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 ‘UNC’ aims to do the same. Expected to be an instant sell out, you best be ready for this release when they drop on June 23rd.
The Yeezy hype is not cooling down anytime soon. Leaked back in February, the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 ‘Butter‘ has summer shoe written all over it. Similar in design to the ‘Cream Whites‘, the ‘Butter’ boasts an ecru coloured Primeknit upper, and like all Yeezy 350s that have released since the beginning of time, they sit on top of a uniquely shaped midsole which houses a bed of Boost. Dropping June 30th, these will sell out instantly.
