When KAWS founder Brian Donnelly turned his attention on the Air Jordan 4, the sneaker community went into meltdown. Can you imagine if the pop artist and toy maker got his hands on a Yeezy silhouette?!
Many customisers have attempted to imagine such a collaboration but none quite as impressive as the recent work by @alexanderjohndesign.
There's something so appealing about this custom piece of sneaker art. The chunky profile of the Yeezy Wave Runner 700 is made even more striking thanks to the KAWS-inspired hits of colour and patterning.
The grey inner lining is dyed bright pink whilst an abstract use of colours hits the sidewall. An eye-popping shade of volt features in place of the convectional orange to the midsole and this custom is finished off with "X X"; branding, synonymous with KAWS.
Shout-out to @alexanderjohndesign for creating one of the greatest customs ever. Sound off in the comments and let us know whether you prefer this style over the original.
