Virgil Abloh's Air Jordan 1 “UNC”'s release date is confirmed…
Debuted a few weeks ago at the Met Gala, Virgil Abloh showed the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 "UNC"; to the world. A mix of White, Cone and Dark Powder Blue, these high top Air Jordans are a classic silhouette with Off-White's signature special touches.
Formed out of a leather and mesh combination for the upper, the premium sneaker is set to give great comfort and security when wearing. Keeping true to brand, Virgil deconstructed the Swoosh's on these sneaks, adding on sewn on and patched aspects in an orange coloured thread.
Air Jordan wings sit on the side of the ankle, boasting the heritage of the timeless sneaker that was first seen in 1985. These particular Jordan colourway is inspired by the 1985 sneakers; the colours were taken from Michael Jordan's college team colours at the University of North Carolina and put into the design of the upcoming shoe.
The newest release date of this Off-White collaboration is set to be May 30th for various locations around the world. Canada, Mexico, Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Morocco, South Africa and Puerto Rico are among the lucky countries that will be able to pick up some of these early. Meanwhile, in the UK, we will have to wait for June 23rd for the premium sneakers to hit stores such as Nike and END.
