PUMA’s entry into the dad shoe race was about as unexpected as Drake leaving Nike for adidas. Admittedly, the German brand not only captivated sneakerheads with the chunky and oversized Thunder Spectra but actually managed to set the bar for all other chunky silhouettes. It’s become one of the most popular shoes in its class with the debut colourway instantly selling out and commanding steep resell prices.
A slight variation launches soon, known as the PUMA Thunder Electric and thankfully, more styles are coming for the Spectra, Here we take a look at a ‘Grey Orange’ colourway, releasing this August.
An extensive use of fabrics and colours feature to the PUMA Thunder Spectra. It’s just what you’d expect for a shoe inspired by vintage dad trainers. The use of lightweight nylon and mesh brings comfort whilst premium suede adds some exclusivity throughout.
The PUMA Thunder Spectra ‘Grey Orange’ is one of many styles to launch this summer. Take a look at some of those below, otherwise keep it locked to @thesolesupplier for release reminders on the run up to launch.
