The Yeezy BSKTBL Has Been Renamed And More Release Info Leaks
The Yeezy BSKTBL is one of the most anticipated Kanye West sneakers ever. First unveiled back in February, they're unlike any basketball shoe currently on the market, and now, more release info has leaked for the highly sought after silhouette!
Featuring a clean white and black Primeknit construction, the ankle is crafted from a buttery smooth suede, while nubuck accents make their way to the toe box in the form of a U-shape, kind of like the Yeezy 700. Transparent mesh stripes shoot across the lateral panels, and down below, you'll find a Boost infused midsole housed within a see through unit, providing comfort that's unlike anything else out there.
As we mentioned in the title, the BSKTBL has now been renamed to the Yeezy Quantum. If you think back, this was originally the name of the colourway for the shoe, so to think that it's now the name of the silhouette is truly mind boggling to say the least.
That's not all though, as according sneaker insiders Yeezy Mafia, the Quantum will release in both hardwood and lifestyle versions. While this may sound like a strange choice at first, when you think about it, it actually makes a whole lot of sense.
Throughout its upper, the Yeezy is infused with 3M reflective material. This is nothing out of the ordinary, but according to ESPN, the “NBA would find it potentially distracting for both in-arena spectators and television viewers.” The NBA is known for going through a strict approval process, so the 3M has probably been removed for the on-court version to comply with these rules.
Now, in terms of a release date for the Yeezy Quantum, rumours are pointing at a February 2020 launch to coincide with the upcoming NBA All-Star Game that's due to take place in Ye's hometown of Chicago. This has yet to be officially confirmed, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! What do you think of the changes? Will you be copping? Let us know what you're thinking!
