Every once in a while, a sneaker custom comes along that changes everything. Masterfully combining the adidas Originals NMD CS1 with the bold aesthetic of Off-White, architecture graduate Edmond Looi has created an ultra clean piece of art that you can wear on your feet.
Utilising a pair of NMD City Socks as its foundation, this custom features an all white silhouette, with a pair of striking black zips running vertically down the Primeknit upper. This is complemented by a vibrant red cable tie, which is a trademark feature famously found on Virgil Abloh’s pieces.
Across the shoe, a pair of transparent straps are present, sporting Off-White’s iconic white stripe pattern. And of course, no Off-White sneaker custom is complete without the addition of the brand’s industrial canvas belts that wrap elegantly around the shoe.
A cool little detail you may have missed are the words ‘URBAN’ and ‘NOMAD’ embroidered along the side panels of the shoe, and Off-White’s signature ‘X’ logo printed inside the sneaker itself. To finish things off, the CS1s all white Boost midsole is preserved to highlight the fact that these fashion forward sneakers are still very much a sport-driven silhouette.
