We got our first glimpse of the adidas Originals Yeezy Wave Runner 700 back in January of this year, and now, half a year later, the much anticipated sneaker has officially dropped.
The highly coveted kicks boasts a chunky silhouette, reminiscent of old school skate shoes and ’90s-era adidas models. A few details include a multi coloured lateral and medial, with accents of light grey, black, and dark blues scattered throughout, a thick white midsole with black and orange detailing, a set of neon laces, and an upper constructed from breathable mesh as well premium leather and suede materials. Contrary to earlier reports, the sole actually houses adidas’ iconic Boost technology, which provides users with extra comfort and stability.
As expected, the adidas Originals Yeezy Wave Runner 700 pretty much sold out within minutes of releasing, and is said to ship on November 1st. Alongside the Yeezy, a slew of Calabasas branded gear also dropped, including a selection of sweat suits, sports bras, tees, and an acid yellow dad cap.
