The sneaker world is longing for the release of the Yeezy BSKTBL 'Quantum'. First teased back in 2018 when Kanye West stepped out in a pair in Chi-Town, it is, hands down, one of the most unique Yeezy trainers ever. Unlike any other basketball shoe out there at the moment, these look like something from outer space, and we're now taking our best look yet!
Serving as Ye's foray into the world of basketball shoes, the 'Quantum' features a unique Primeknit construction that's adorned with a 'Zebra'-like print across the lateral and medial sides. Stealthy black suede hits the ankle and heel for added support, and you'll also find a nubuck panel at the toe box, coloured in a clean cream hue.
Around the back, an exaggerated heel cup is present for extra stability, and as you move downwards, you'll find a full length Boost midsole for comfort that's out of this world. To finalise the design, transparent portions also feature, allowing sneakerheads to flex their socks with ease.
While the design of the Yeezy BSKTBL 'Quantum' could still be subject to change, it's great to see the direction that the shoe is going. Expected to drop in early 2020, rumour has it that they'll debut at the upcoming NBA All-Star Game that's due to take place in February in Kanye's hometown of Chicago.
