Looking back the past year, Boston footwear label New Balance has offered the masses an extensive range of covetable sneakers, with the iconic NB991 at the forefront. And just before we transition into the new year, New Balance has reunited with one of its long-term partners once again for a fresh design.
Dressing the undefined in two eye-catching colourways, the Stray Rats x New Balance 991 collaboration feature a range of hues that are familiar to fans of the duo's former design.
Following the same colour scheme as their New Balance 574, 827, and 990v3, the first pair sees a mix of purple, brown, tan, green, and pops of neon yellow. The latter opts for a stealthier look, with a blacked-out base and contrasting grey and purple tones. As for the material used, premium leather and supple suede predominantly take over the panels, though reflective detailing also appears in less significant areas. Traditional NB branding details remain in place, accompanied by additional Stray Rats imprints to complete the joint design.
