Ever since the 450 was first teased back in 2018 we've been yearning for a "Triple Black" colourway, and it's finally here with the Yeezy 450 Dark Slate! A completely inverted take of the "Cloud White" that launched last month, Kanye West's most experimental silhouette yet is about to get a seriously stealthy makeover - and we're now taking an on-foot look!
Slick shots courtesy of @yankeekicks, the "Dark Slate" has received many nicknames in the past. Whether you call it the "Burnt Dumpling" or the "Dark Shark", there's no denying that this Yeezy is unlike anything else out there. With a stretchy Primeknit construction that's as comfortable as it gets, chunky rope laces weave in and out of the upper for a seamless aesthetic. A cuffed ankle offers up the ultimate lockdown fit while a tapered toebox maintains a streamlined design.
Of course, you can't talk about this shoe without mentioning the midsole underfoot. A design element that made headlines when it was first teased three years ago, a range of spikes extend upwards towards the top of the shoe. This is crafted from plush EVA for comfort and cushioning that knows no bounds. While this isn't adidas Boost, it's definitely very responsive and ready for everyday wear.
A release date has yet to be officially confirmed for the adidas Yeezy 450 "Dark Slate", but we know for a fact that it'll launch sometime in June. Let us know what you think of this colourway, and in related news, 3 ultra hyped Yeezy Boost 350 V2 restocks are coming on Yeezy Day 2021!
