Nike’s reintroduction of the Pegasus 2K5 has been a well timed success for the Beaverton brand. Originally launched in 2005, the retro runner made a triumphant return to shelves in early 2024 and has quickly secured a prominent place in Nike’s lineup, standing alongside other fan favourites like the Vomero 5. With its renewed presence, the Pegasus 2K5 has become a staple both on city streets and on social media, a trend that shows no signs of slowing as we move further into 2025.
Set to release soon on nike.com is a striking black and white rendition of the Pegasus 2K5, accented with bold yet refined touches of “Photo Blue.” The vibrant blue appears subtly on the Swoosh logos, midsole, and tongue interior, creating a tasteful balance of colour. The classic black and white base highlights the shoe’s defining retro aesthetics, particularly the ribcage inspired leather panelling that wraps both sides. Meanwhile, a “Sail” midsole adds a vintage flair with its pre aged finish.
Reflective detailing on the iconic Swoosh not only enhances visibility but also elevates the shoe’s style, making it versatile for any occasion. Staying true to its roots, the Pegasus 2K5 preserves its heritage inspired full length Air unit, delivering premium cushioning for all day comfort.
Expected to hit Nike’s website and select retailers in Spring 2025, this clean update of the Pegasus 2K5 will carry a retail price of around £135.
