Comme des Garçons Homme Plus x Nike Sense 96 Hits Shelves This Week
The wait is over; Comme des Garçons and Nike just dropped the latest collab: the Comme des Garçons Homme Plus x Nike Sense 96. After nine months of suspense (and countless sneakerhead daydreams since its Paris Fashion Week tease), the release is finally here.
When the collection debuted on the runway in June, it was assumed to feature an entirely new silhouette. But a closer look reveals that the Nike Sense 96 is actually a fusion of two iconic sneakers blended into one dynamic design.

The top half channels the Air Max 96; an evolution of the Air Max 95 that celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. While the original Air Max 96 featured lightweight mesh and technical fabrics, the Comme des Garçons version takes it up a notch with premium leather construction. Embroidered Swooshes appear on the lateral heel, while a glossy, jeweled Swoosh adorns the toebox, adding a luxe touch.
Shifting focus to the midsole, you’ll notice an innovative design borrowed from 2022’s ISPA Sense Flyknit. Featuring soft, bouncy foam, the midsole is detailed with horizontal and vertical lines inspired by Japanese zen gardens, giving the sneaker a unique, contemplative aesthetic. To complete the package, the Sense 96 comes in a special edition shoebox; a nod to the collaborative efforts between Comme des Garçons and Nike that date back to 1999.
The sneaker will be available in three striking colourways: the playful ‘Pink’ and the timeless CDG staples, ‘Black’ and ‘White.’ Each pair fuses bold design with functional innovation, making it a must have for sneaker lovers and fashion enthusiasts.
But the Sense 96 isn’t the only sneaker Rei Kawakubo’s team is working on this season. Recently, the Dover Street Market x Brain Dead x adidas Bowling collaboration was unveiled, and earlier this week, the Comme des Garçons x New Balance 990v6 was announced. For fans of the legendary designer, it’s shaping up to be an exciting season.
The Comme des Garçons Homme Plus x Nike Sense 96 is set to release globally at Dover Street Market, Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers on 10th April.
