Once again, it turns out the rumours were true. After news of a link-up first began to circulate around two weeks ago, COOGI x Supreme are now preparing to release a collaborative selection of apparel and accessories ahead of this week's Spring 2023 drop. Effortlessly combining COOGI's '90s aesthetic with Supreme's distinctive characteristics, this collaboration is surely one to watch.
Those familiar with the COOGI brand will know its iconic knitwear designs were revered amongst the mid-1990s hip-hop scene, with rappers like Biggie Smalls often referencing the COOGI brand in his songs. Often characterised by swirling patterns, abstract design and bold colours, COOGI remains a popular choice among those with a taste for a '90s aesthetic style of dressing.
This collaboration features a handful of the Australian brand's most cherished silhouettes, with trucker jackets, basketball jerseys, tees, shorts, jeans, and even durags all included in the mix. A unique mercerised wool weave decorates the exterior of each piece, backed up by a tonal rendition of Supreme's varsity logo font. Notable pieces include two renditions of the trucker jacket, with one adopting a stealthy black hue and the other a light-washed denim mock-up. Rounding out the selection is a trio of durags that will undoubtedly prove popular with headwear fans.
The Supreme x COOGI Spring 2023 collection will release globally via the brand's website on May 4th. Elsewhere in fashion, Broken Planet's new "Space Trails" collection channels some serious Grand Theft Auto vibes .
