There’s no denying it - Nike ’s SB division is killing the game right now. Over the next couple of months, the Swoosh’s skateboard line has got some serious heat lined up for us, and it's all kicking off with the launch of the Yuto Horigome x Nike SB Dunk Low.
The Japanese skateboarder quickly shot to fame after winning a Gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and given that this is his first collab with the Beaverton-based brand, it's fair to say the result is pretty special. A long-time fan of the Swoosh, Horigome has kitted out his debut Dunk in a selection of soft hues, making this one of the most wearable SBs on the market. Here, a white base gives way to dusty blue overlays and a chocolate brown collar, while a pop of pastel pink sits pretty on the heel tab. This comes complimented with a olive-toned Swoosh and a two-tone “Sail” and brown midsole. Recognising the sheer amount of influence Japanese fashion has on the streetwear market, the Yuto Horigome Dunk also pays tribute to Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design, as a crossed feather logo sits exactly where fragment’s insignia usually would.
It’s pretty clear that the upcoming model’s appeal reaches far beyond just the skateboarding scene, but if you’re looking to get your hands on them, it’s not exactly a straightforward cop. While the shoe will be debuting on Nike’s SNKRS app on the 29th of August, its wider release will be reserved for skate stores only, meaning that you might have to look a little harder for any sneaker raffles. Luckily, we’ve put in the legwork for you and pulled together a complete list of all the skate store raffles that we can find.
So far, we know that the pair will land at the following places...
