Jordan Brand prepares to honour the Air Jordan 1's fortieth anniversary in 2025. While numerous anticipated colourways and partnerships have already launched and continue to arrive, the Jumpman team holds back one of the shoe's most significant ventures for the coming year.
Late in 2024, there were reports of a new collaboration forming between fragment design, Union LA, and Jordan Brand, set to redefine the Air Jordan 1 High OG. Since then, a reimagining of fragment design's original AJ1, featuring Union's signature stitched collar detail, and a similar black and white iteration have both emerged. For those keen to remain informed about all the most anticipated trainer releases, ensure you download The Sole Supplier app.
Adding to this exciting collection, we now have our initial glimpse of a "Sport Royal" version from the collaborative trio. Fragment design founder Hiroshi Fujiwara himself showcased the pair on his feet. As with the other editions, Union's distinctive, pieced together upper construction returns. This time, it merges an original "Royal" base with a white and navy collar section. The trainer also displays fragment design's thunderbolt emblem debossed onto the lateral heel, alongside unique text on the midsole which identifies the trainer and its partners.
At the time of writing, neither fragment design, Union LA, nor Jordan Brand have provided any release specifics concerning the various Air Jordan 1 High OG colourways. We anticipate its arrival next spring through Nike SNKRS and selected retailers. To maximise your chances at securing these at retail price, remember to click the 'Notify me' button.
