After proudly remembering "The 97" with its latest home kit for the 23/24 season, Liverpool F.C. is back and ready to reveal its latest away endeavour. Reaching deep into the club's archives, Liverpool's designers have taken inspiration from just under two decades ago when the club had the likes of Ian Rush as captain and Robbie Fowler as the top goal scorer.
We are, of course, referencing the 95/96 season, when the club sported a green and white garb with a heavy colour-blocked pattern. While the four colour-blocked sections remain similar to its predecessor, this latest rendition has received an update in colouring and design. A vibrant "Green Spark" digitised pattern adorns the exterior, bringing a contemporary feel to a classic. This is backed up by a crisp white hue elsewhere and a contrasting black Nike Swoosh, Liverbird, and club sponsor on the chest.
Just like the home kit, this latest away addition also seeks to honour "The 97" who tragically lost their lives in the Hillsborough Disaster through a small graphic at the rear of the neck. For supporters looking to get their hands on the Liverpool F.C. 2023/24 Away kit, it is currently available for purchase on Nike's website! In other football and fashion news, Manchester United's 2023/24 Home Kit takes inspiration from the city's industrial revolution.
