After earning the accolade of "The Heaviest Jersey Collection on the Market" back in February of last year, it seems Leeds' own MKI is already looking to surpass its previous efforts. As a continuation of its 650 GSM project, MKI is now readying its 800 GSM Superweight Collection, a passion project of sorts that looks to produce the best quality jersey on the market.
Crafted in Portugal, the 800 GSM single-layer loopback jersey has been manufactured to the brand's specific blueprint to ensure the finest build quality and form. Included in the latest selection, we see hoodies, collared polos, crewnecks and joggers in a trio of accessible hues. Shades of grey, brown and black are all on offer, delivering a number of pairing options and multi-seasonality.
Vik Tailor, the brand's owner and creative director, describes this latest initiative as "an exploration into heavyweight jersey," noting that "the project is a further elevation from the 650 GSM project." Remaining true to its mission statement, MKI will keep this latest collection accessible to the average consumer as its focus remains firmly on fair pricing and quality. For those looking to get their hands on this 800 GSM collection, it will launch via the brand's website on 14/04/23 at 12 PM GMT. In other fashion news, Palace x Evisu come together once more to celebrate club styles of the late '90s.
