Just yesterday, fans of the London streetwear brand Corteiz stumbled upon the label's logo being projected onto Nike's store on Oxford Street. Naturally, this led to many speculative questions online about what exactly this could mean, but despite the majority of viewers thinking it was a way for Corteiz to clout-chase, it seems things run much deeper.
Nike has now confirmed a collaboration between the two parties, but what exactly is in-store is yet to be revealed. For many, this might come as a shock given Corteiz's previous history of guerilla marketing tactics - after all, having crowds of loyal fans traversing the streets for products and having a passcode-accessed web store doesn't exactly fit the Nike model.
Regardless of all this, it would seem sportswear giant Nike is keen to embrace and exemplify its London and UK audience, and what better way to do so than a collaboration with one of the most hyped brands of the last few years.
