Continuing its expansion into footwear silhouettes, Manchester's own Represent has just revealed the latest member of its sneaker family. Embracing tennis silhouettes for the first time, the Represent Virtus sneaker builds upon the label's knack for luxury craftsmanship and subdued design.
Having had quite the year already with its Bully model, Represent is now looking to break away from the maximalist retro-inspired skate shoes and runner mould, producing what can only be described as a stripped-back, minimalist offering.
Virtus was a specific virtue in ancient Rome, carrying connotations of valour, masculinity, excellence, courage, character, and worth. Looking to embody these values, the Virtus arrives in two separate and contrasting colourways, namely "Vintage White" and "Off Black."
Both shoes feature a luxury tri-material upper consisting of flat leather, tumbled leather and hairy suede panels. In terms of details, an "R" logo monogram print features across the heel tab, tongue, and lower overlays, delivering a subtly elevated finish. All of this sits atop a semi-translucent low-profile outsole.
For those looking to get their hands on Represent's Virtus sneaker, it is currently available for purchase on the brand's website in both colourways. In other footwear news, A Ma Maniére confirms a release date for the Air Jordan 5 "Dusk."
