While there are many things to admire about Stüssy, you have to really give it to the brand for its musical collaborations. Just weeks ago, we saw the Californian Surf Imprint collaborate with dancehall singer Sean Paul for a limited capsule, and now the label looks to its next act. Tapping legendary American rock band Talking Heads, the duo has produced a limited capsule celebrating some of the band's most iconic works.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002, Talking Heads is behind some of rock's most iconic hits, such as "Psycho Killer" and "This Must Be the Place." Having recently just announced a brief reunion, Talking Heads will now make its mark on streetwear also.
The collaboration itself is concise in its offerings, simply delivering two T-Shirts. The first tee features artwork from the album “Remain in Light” (1980), while its counterpart features imagery of David Byre in his iconic oversized suit from the Stop Making Sense (1984) short film.
The Talking Heads x Stüssy collaboration is set to land at Stüssy stores and DOVER STREET MARKET locations from the 8th of September. In other fashion news, Kith for the NFL simply elevates varsity style.
