The Three Stripes is continuing its adidas Superstar 50th anniversary celebrations with a hybrid sneaker that we never knew we needed in our lives. For the first time ever, they'll be combining the Superstar with the legendary Stan Smith to create the aptly named Superstan, and honestly, we don't know why this has never been done before.
Retaining the classic designs of both shoes, the Superstan features the shell toe of the Superstar and is painted in the iconic "Fairway" colourway that's synonymous to the Stan Smith. As clean as it gets, the trainer is decked out in smooth premium leather with perforated Three Stripes at the side panels and "Superstan" branding at the heel.
To mark this new chapter, the German giant have released a short film starring Stan Smith himself shot at his home state of Florida. Touching on his storied career and legacy, he discusses how he's better known for his contributions to sneaker design rather than tennis.
If you love the adidas Superstan as much as we do, they're expected to drop globally on February 1st. Let us know if you'll be snapping up a pair, and in related news, the Human Made x adidas Stan Smith finally has a release date!
