The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 650 Channels Serious "UNC" Vibes

New Balance and Aimé Leon Dore have been serving up some serious heat for this SS23 season, and now we’ve finally been treated to new images of one of its long-awaited new 650 colourways. While eagle-eyed fans may have spotted the pair in ALD’s most recent look book, it was only a matter of time before sneaker leakers would share some close-up images of the upcoming releases.

Leading the line-up is this fresh take on the famed UNC colour scheme - a palette of bright white and baby blue that’s no stranger to retro b-ball silhouettes. A straight-up summer banger, the UNC Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 650 follows the usual ALD formula - its simple, preppy livery gives the style’s premium tooling more of a chance to shine. Supple white leather makes up the majority of the base, while mesh tongues, collars and ‘N’ logos add a sporty touch. Baby blue accents then land on the linings, logo borders and collars, while a gum sole rests neatly underfoot.

It’s rare that ALD’s New Balance collabs drop in only one colour option, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see this 650 land alongside some other classic-looking colourways.
