They say all good things come to an end, and that's exactly what has happened with the Donald Glover x adidas collab. First unveiled back in September 2018, the power duo's partnership resulted in a ton of hype among both sneaker and music fans, so naturally enough, this news has come as quite a shock for many.
"The adidas Originals by Donald Glover partnership has come to an end," confirmed a source in a statement. "Together adidas and Glover set out to look beyond the confines of a traditional collaboration inspired by limitless creativity. adidas continues to be inspired by Glover’s visionary creativity and wishes him the best in his future endeavours."
In April of last year, Childish Gambino dropped a trio of trainers, including the Continental 80, the Lacombe, and the Nizza. Boasting a vintage aesthetic, each pair was painted in a clean off-white hue that was extremely wearable to say the least. He then went on to create even more buzz by randomly giving away pairs via AirDrop during Coachella.
This news has yet to be officially confirmed by both parties, but it's been almost a year since they dropped anything so it's safe to assume that the Donald Glover x adidas collaboration has come to a close. Let us know what you think of this news, and while you're here, the Pharrell Williams x adidas 4D Runner is still available to cop!
