Stüssy is no stranger to the sneaker scene, having spearheaded some of the most sought-after collabs over its extensive history. Just this year the Californian-born brand has pumped out projects with Nike, Our Legacy and Timberland, and now it looks set to join forces once more with another long-time partner: Converse.
Working on top of Converse’s iconic Chuck 70 silhouette, Stüssy has treated fans to a familiar collaborative take. Borrowing from some of its most successful Nike collabs, Stüssy introduces a “Fossil” make-up to the Chuck 70 silhouette, proving that the finish can look good on just about any model. Arriving with a linen build, the pair is perfect for the upcoming warm weather, and fully fit for customisation - if that’s your kind of vibe.
In terms of detailing, Stüssy has opted for an elevated vibe, with a studded logo adorning the lateral side, whereas the Converse logo on the medial patch has been swapped out for a plain, linen-textured badge. From here, the tongue branding has been ‘Stussi-fied’ with the All-Star branding arriving in the imprint’s signature font, while co-branded insoles call out to the collab below the surface.
The “Fossil” Stüssy x Converse Chuck 70 is set to drop on the 30th March, so be sure to turn those notifications on if this is a pair you want to rock this summer. In the meantime, check out Nicole McLaughlin's outdoors-inspired Vans collab!
