While lockdown lifting has brought us all the joy we’ve been waiting for, there’s no denying it’s not has as much of a positive effect on our purses. Sunday mornings just got better, as East London’s Columbia Road Flower Market has reopened again. Although this one requires an early start of around 8am to get the best bunch possible, as you step off of Hackney Road and into the market, you’ll enter a delightfully-smelling paradise of bright blooms and fresh greenery.
Saturday’s just got sustainable! Pick-your-own season is also slowly returning after lockdown, and makes for a fun, cheap activity that’ll suit all ages – from your niece, to your nan! With tonnes of locations all over the UK, there’s also options for car-less Londoners, too! As well as classic strawberries, at many of them you’ll be able to pick up other seasonal goodies, like runner beans, marrows, courgettes – the lot!
ICYMI, roller blading is all the rage at the moment. As well as a fun way to keep fit outdoors during lockdown, TikTok has cast a spotlight over the activity recently via tonnes of viral vids – although, we’re not sure we’ll be as sick as Oumi Janta anytime soon. Regardless, jump on the trend and grab yourself a fresh pair of boots, and don’t forget the booty shorts to match!
