New Balance continues to expand its collaborative front, not only by inviting new names but also by reuniting with previous ones. In 2020, Korean streetwear staple thisisneverthat delivered one of the first collaborations of the famous 2002R. This time, we're taking our first look at the thisisneverthat x New Balance 1906R collaboration.
For those that didn't know, the 1906 silhouette was the original New Balance model that possessed the N-ergy midsole unit that is now famously hosted by the 2002R.
The revival of the New Balance 1906, now dubbed 1906R, invites the South East Asian fashion brand to grace it with its vintage aesthetic just as it did with their initial collaboration by using a yellow sole unit. The leather and mesh upper is predominantly in silver and grey with contrasting navy hits all over. Classic NB branding details on the side, tongues, and heels complete these co-branded New Balance trainers.
