Seventy-five-year-old British footwear and clothing brand, Dr. Martens, best known for its countercultural boots, pays homage to the rebellious punk rock band The Clash. Meet The Clash x Dr. Martens 1461 Cherry Red Arcadia.
This 3-eye low-cut shoe is called a 1461 because it was the second silhouette ever to be rolled out by the brand on January 4, 1961, following the brand’s 8-eye boot. The upper of this shoe is high-shine black Arcadia leather that’s meant to rub off and reveal a Cherry Red base. The shoe’s classic yellow welt stitch indicates the high quality of the shoe’s construction. The upper and the sole are heat-sealed at 700 degrees centigrade. Black and military green laces and a band logo dog tag and tote bag come with the pair. The Clash logo embossed on the lateral heel and a 100% PVC sole cap off the design of this shoe.
