Launching in time for Air Max Day 2024, Nike could be setting a new standard with this new Air Max silhouette. Sneakerheads are already starting to turn their heads at the sight of the new Nike Air Max Dn, with a promising design language that could set the tone for the Swoosh in 2024. After revealing several retro silhouettes via its 2024 Showcase on SNKRS, the Swoosh is not messing around with its product offerings for the next year, with this Air Max Dn being the absolute cherry on the top. Steeped in a mixture of modern construction and archival references, we’ve got a strong feeling about the Nike AM Dn!

The chunky sole unit is stealing the show with what could be the biggest Air unit to date, sat under the heel with four rounded windows that let you peer into the soul of Nike’s iconic technology. Few OG Air Max fanatics may see the connection to several cult favourites such as the Nike Air Max 2001 and Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2, the latter of which received huge praise thanks to collaborations with Stussy and Size? in 2020. You can’t ignore the size of the Air unit either, adding to the Nike Air Dn’s appearance while maximising comfort and providing a smooth heel-to-toe experience. The midfoot shank reinforces stability, stamped with a crimson mini-Swoosh that mimics the Tn Air Max Plus’ whale tale that every sneakerhead has grown to appreciate. A textured upper brings a unique twist, promoting the sense of motion that other silhouettes like the Nike Air Max 97 and Deluxe have beautifully mastered in the past. Constructed out of a light canvas with the addition of fused panelling for extra durability, the Nike Dn emphasises lightweight construction, allowing you to feel free as you move about your day. The looped lacing system boasts more typical Nike design, unlike the heel tab which offers a new touch, drawing attention to the Dn logo on the rear.
