Nike ISPA Mindbody Olive Grey

The Nike ISPA Mindbody is not your average-looking trainer. Built with Nike’s circular design philosophy, the Mindbody is the result of recycled fabrics, eco-friendly dyes and oh yeah, no glue. As sustainability becomes more of a factor in footwear, the Swoosh has not cut any corners to ensure your moral compass is left pointing in the right direction.

The new addition to the ISPA line has led to many questions, like “what do you mean there’s no glue?” or “how is it not falling apart?”. This is down to the new innovative single-cording system which weaves in and out of the midsole and upper, holding the two together. The concept of using no adhesive was also explored on the ISPA Link which dropped in ‘22. The Flyknit upper is formed from recycled yarns and given its hue from dyes created from algae, removing another harsh chemical process from the build. Although the shoe may not appear to be the ideal image of comfort, Nike has described the midsole as both “inviting and pillowy”, ticking a hugely important box for sneakerheads. All you need to do is drop them off at your nearest Nike flagship store where they can start the recycling process.
