Sandy Liang x Salomon XT-Whisper Fairy Tale Pink

Salomon’s XT-Whisper gets spruced up in pink thanks to this Sandy Liang collaboration. Having already made a name for herself in the GORP-inspired world of footwear, Liang’s work with Salomon has been nothing but gold. Representing what the trail running brand describes as its ‘Intersectional’ division, Liang’s feminine take on the new XT-Whisper is perfect in this “Fairy Tale Pink” edition.

Toeing the line between the outdoors and streetwear, the XT-Whisper is a model which beautifully adopts the two. Built on a familiar midsole to the other XT models, the upper is where the Whisper embraces its aesthetic, with a light pink mesh swallowed up by the swirly silver overlays. Similar to the XT-6 Expanse and RX Moc 3.0 before it, the flower decal returns. Stamped onto the tongue and right insole, Liang’s floral symbol is worn like a badge of honour. A lipstick-red underfoot covers the arrow-shaped lugs in a darker tone, balancing the lighter palette above and pushing the feminine motif.

Dropping in limited quantities via the Sandy Liang website on the 16th of January, the project will also be getting a wider global release on the Salomon website on the 23rd of January 2025 for £145.
