While we've had glimmers and glimpses of Kanye West's forthcoming studio album 'DONDA', the Atlanta born rapper continues to hold out on fans while attempting to finish it from the comfort of a Mercedes-Benz stadium back room. So far, we've seen two live performances of the album with the latest performance earlier this month on August 5th.
The performance saw Kanye West don a full black ensemble complete with high military boots, a spiked jacket and most notably, a bulletproof vest. The iconic vest came complete with ballistic panel inserts, velcro top and side fastenings and contrasting "DONDA" imprints on the front and rear of the garment. Elsewhere a handwritten "MBD" (My Body Different) signature is featured.
The bulletproof vest was picked up by consignment shop and creator JUSTIN REED. REED who has notably sold Kanye's one-of-one Goyard "robot face" backpack from 2010 for $55,000 USD, recently sold the listening party vest for a whopping $20,000. Considering the album isn't out yet, we're hoping for this unnamed buyer's sake that it lives up to expectations. In related news, here's every single Yeezy restock still to drop in 2021.
