The Brand New Union LA x Air Jordan 4 "Desert Moss" Is on the Way!

If you’re a big sneakerhead then it’s likely that you’ll already know of Union LA, one of the most-respected sneaker stores in the USA. The store has now teamed up with Jordan Brand several times, most famously offering up their takes on the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 4. While two colourways of the AJ4 launched last year to great success, it seems that a brand-new version is on the way.

Set to launch as part of Union’s 30th anniversary celebrations, the Union x Air Jordan 4 “Desert Moss” showcases the same colour-blocking as last year's variants, although switches out the colour-scheme for hits of moss green, blue and purple.

The uppers look set to be crafted from a mix of supple suede and technical mesh, giving the sneakers a luxurious look while still retaining the classic sportswear aesthetic of the silhouette. The stitched-down tongue that divided opinions when it was first unveiled last year is back with a bang, paying homage to how the AJ4 was originally worn on the streets.

Other notable details include Union branding via a tab on the lateral side, translucent lace wings and Nike Air branding on the heels. This all sits perfectly on top of an aged-white midsole that encases a visible Nike Air unit under the heel. This pair have really got it all when it comes to both design and functionality!
