This is it chief. Last week, we gave you a sneak peek of the adidas Ultra Boost 2020, and now, we’re taking our closest look yet. The silhouette’s biggest rework since it made its debut in 2015, here’s everything that you need to know!
Images courtesy of sneaker insider @sneakerprophet_, the UB 2020 bears a striking resemblance to the current UB19, but with a beefier structure that’s similar to the OG model. Seen here in a futuristic ‘Metallic Purple‘ colour palette, a fully optimised Primeknit is used for the upper, while a completely rubberised midfoot cage flanks the wearer’s foot, providing stability and support that’s quite literally out of this world.
When we say “quite literally”, we’re referencing the NASA-inspired detailing that surrounded the entire shoe, including a rubberised “Boost In Space” badge on the tongue, and “adidas ISS National Lab CRS” emblazoned on the insoles. To round it all off, a full length Boost midsole sits underfoot, painted in an iridescent hue, and this is lined with a durable Continental rubber outsole for a crazy amount of traction with every step.
An official release date has yet to be confirmed by adidas, but expect the adidas Ultra Boost 2020 ‘Metallic Purple’ to launch early next year. Could this be the best UB ever made? Will you be copping? Let us know what’s on your mind!
