When it comes to legendary colourways, the "Georgetown" is definitely up there. From the Air More Uptempo to the Dunk Low, the iconic colour palette has dressed some of the Beaverton brand's best silhouettes, and for 2022, it'll be taking on the most iconic one of them all with the Air Jordan 1 High '85 "Georgetown" - and we're now taking a closer look.
If you feel like you've seen this Air Jordan 1 somewhere before then you're probably thinking of the original "Georgetown Hoyas" sample that first leaked all the way back in 1985. Featuring the exact same colour scheme, it seems like Jordan Brand have also adopted the OG shape as well.
Boasting an all-leather construction, the light grey base contrasts impeccably against the dark navy panels that wrap around the toebox and heel. Creamy hues make their way to the laces and tongue for a vintage vibe, and the ankle is proudly stamped with the signature winged basketball insignia that has become synonymous to the AJ1.
While we would have loved if the Nike Air midsole was left in an off-white hue for a retro look, we really can't complain. After all, we never thought that this sample would ever see the light of day.
The Nike Air Jordan 1 Hi '85 "College Navy" will hit shelves on February 2022, and will probably sell out in a heartbeat. Let us know if you'll be going for these next year, and in related news, the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Heritage" is a future classic!
