A Closer Look at the COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Air Force 1 Mid

2020 is officially the year of Nike collaborations, and the pending COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Air Force 1 Mid is set to be one of the most covetable collabs yet. The silhouette was revealed during the Japanese label’s AW20 PFW show amid statement headgear and the brand’s signature statement garments. The silhouette was worn with CDG-branded socks and sported a mid-top design.

Presented in a Nike AF1 Mid silhouette, this iteration boasts a deconstructed look with overlapping panels and abstract stitching. Co-branding comes in the form of a Nike Swoosh to the side and the CDG logo on the ankle strap and the lace-up panel boasts thicker-than-usual laces which deliver optimal security.

Signature details of the original design remain intact, like Nike Air embroidery to the heel and a textured tread, while subtle details add COMME des GARÇONS signature quirky flair.

While no other details have been released about this collab or the sneaker itself, the runway images give us a little glimpse as to what we can expect from the shoe.
