It’s been about eight months since we last caught a glimpse of the UNDERCOVER x Nike Air Max 720, and now, thanks to streetwear curator @ldn2hk, we’re getting our closest look yet at the hotly anticipated collaboration. First spotted during the Japanese label’s Paris Fashion Week showcase earlier this year, these images come just one day after Jun Takahashi unveiled his Gyakusou x Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36.

Boasting an extremely unique colour scheme, the engineered mesh upper is painted in a striking yellow hue, while stealthy black elements feature across the tongue and Air midsole, speckled with a paint splatter design that’s sure to turn heads. Speaking of the midsole, it measures at a whopping 38mm thick and is made from over 70% recycled waste. It’s also adorned with the phrase “We make clothes not noise” along the heel for a bold statement.

Of course, we can’t talk about this AM720 without mentioning the lacing system. Instead of conventional laces, Takahashi has replaced them with a pair of silky maroon ribbons that add a touch of luxury to the design.

The UNDERCOVER x Nike Air Max 720 is scheduled to release on October 31st at Nike and select stockists. Also arriving in two other colourways, let us know if you’d cop, and make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for the hottest gossip the sneaker world has to offer!
