When the Yeezy 500 'Stone' first leaked back in July, we were a little underwhelmed. Painted in a colourway that can only be described as a darker version of the 'Blush' with a bit of 'Supermoon Yellow' mixed in, we just wanted something a little more different. With that said as more leaks started to surface, it became increasingly apparent that the 'Stone' was everything we wanted and so much more.
The first Desert Rat colourway to feature a neoprene construction instead of the usual mesh that we've become accustomed to, the 'Stone' is painted in a creamy beige hue with a slightly yellow tone peeking throughout. Featuring a totally reworked tongue, gone is the usual pull tab in favour of a sleek and streamlined piece that introduces a dash of water resistance to the chunky sneaker.
The rest of the upper is made from buttery smooth suede with ultra luxe leather making its way around the lateral and medial side panels. Moving downwards, you'll find an extra chunky adiPRENE unit that's lined with gum rubber for durable traction with every step. This is emphasised by an embossed "adiPRENE" logo along the midfoot.
One of the most sought after Yeezy sneakers of the entire year, the Yeezy 500 'Stone' is expected to drop on November 23rd - just before the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Black' restock! Let us know what you think of this redesign, and make sure you stay tuned for more release info as it develops!
