Following the release of last year's Dragon Ball Z collab as well as leaks of a Pokémon collection, adidas now has its eyes set on yet another popular Japanese franchise, and we're beyond hyped!
Making its debut back in 1997, Naruto is the third best-selling manga series in history, spinning off into several video games and an anime that aired well over 700 episodes across an entire decade. Although it officially ended two years ago, it's still as popular as ever, so this collaboration should come as no surprise!
Images courtesy of sneaker insider @solebyjc, the leaks showcase a mysterious Three Stripes shoe that's inspired by Sakura Haruno - one of the main protagonists of the series. Painted in a thematic pink and red colour palette that pays homage to her iconic hair and outfit, the shoe seems to be made from a neoprene and mesh combination, with transparent detailing hitting the toe box.
Other details include kanji on the lace tips that represent the various villages in the manga, as well as her Team 7 association that's printed across a lateral patch. To round it all off, an illustration of Sakura graces the insole, completing the look.
At this moment in time, pretty much nothing else is known about the Naruto x adidas collaboration, so be sure to keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! What other characters would you like to see in this collection? Let us know what you think, and while you're here, take a look at the full adidas sneaker range!
