According to recent reports, two opposing worlds from across the pond are set to collide in the upcoming months. Nike x Lebron James x Liverpool F.C. are set to collaborate on an upcoming product line for the premier league football club.
The news first broke when Liverpool chairman Tom Werner revealed plans for the next phase of the relationship between Lebron James and Nike. The famed basketball athlete first agreed to a contract with Fenway Sports Group (the parent organisation of Liverpool FC) over a decade ago in 2011 and he has since gone on to be one of the group's star athletes.
Though plans are in motion, it seems Werner himself is even unsure what the collaboration will entail. During the reveal, he said, “I don’t know specifics yet, but they’re going to create seven or eight products that rival the connection that Michael Jordan has with Nike.”
As many of us will be aware, it won't be the first time we've seen somewhat of a basketball and football clothing link up. For instance, Jordan Brand currently sponsor Paris Saint-Germain's kits and clothing on the pitch, so it isn't quite unexplored territory. Keep it locked in right here for any updates. In other news, get up close with the SoleFly x Air Jordan 1 Low.
