When it comes to Nike SB, Paul Rodriguez is no doubt one of the sub-division's most cherished icons. Over the past few years, the skateboarder has released some of the most coveted Dunks in history, and to pay homage to his dedication and love for the silhouette, it looks like he'll be getting his very own Nike SB Dunk Low "What The P-Rod" - and we're taking our first look yet!
Boasting a unique mismatched design, the aptly nicknamed "What The P-Rod" takes elements from his past releases and fuses them into one. The right shoe is infused with a Mexican blanket aesthetic with multicoloured accents and boxing references that played a huge role in his last release, while the left shoe is bathed in elephant print and a unique toebox pattern bears a resemblance to a scuff mark.
Both Nike pairs boast quilted inner linings for added comfort and the Mexican-American skate's signature scrawled onto the tongues, finalising the one-of-a-kind design.
In a recent episode of the Complex Sneakers’ podcast, P-Rod hinted at this upcoming release, explaining that it will pay homage to his history with the brand. While he didn't offer anymore details, it looks like this is what's in the works!
Pretty much nothing else is known about the Paul Rodriguez x Nike SB Dunk Low "What The P-Rod" at this moment in time, so be sure to keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more info as it develops! Let us know what you think of this crazy collab, and while you're here you might as well say Aloha to the Nike SB Dunk High "Hawaii"!
