adidas and Real Madrid have dipped back into the archives, reviving the grailed Y-3 Dragon shirt from the 2014/15 season.

Created by internationally renowned Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto, the iconic shirt marked the first collaboration between Real Madrid and Y-3.

Breaking away from traditional shirt design and bridging the gap between sport and fashion, the release became an instant global hit and one of the most in-demand and collectable jerseys of modern times.

adidas and Y-3's Real Madrid reissue faithfully recreates the Original, featuring the striking dragon graphic that stretches across the front of the shirt against a dark charcoal backdrop.

The accompanying creative campaign reunites club legends Roberto Carlos, Guti, Toni Kroos and Pepe, with current superstars Jude Bellingham and Athenea del Castillo also appearing.

Yamamoto's artwork draws on Eastern symbolism to embody strength, ambition and power; the two-headed dragon represents the prestige of those who wear it, while the bird motif symbolises 'agility, skill and the relentless desire to succeed.'

This isn't the only Y-3 reissue we've seen recently. Last month, ahead of El Clásico, Yohji Yamamoto and adidas brought back the 'Beast Pack', wrapping the current Predator and F50 boots in striking animalistic graphics that debuted two decades ago.

Alongside the Y-3 Madrid jersey, the collection includes a matching adidas track top and track pants inspired by the original 2014/15 design.
