adidas' Jon Wexler Has Been Named The New Head Of Yeezy

If you're a sneakerhead, the chances are you've heard of Jon Wexler. Known as adidas’ Vice President of Global Entertainment and Influencer Marketing, he's been with the Three Stripes for over a decade, beginning as Brand Manager back in 2006. Now, according to reports, Wex has been named the new General Manager of Yeezy, and here's what we know so far!

His relationship with Kanye West goes way back. Credited as the sole person responsible for moving Ye from Nike to adidas, West mentioned him while accepting the 2015 Footwear News Shoe of the Year award, saying, "If you guys want somebody to work with your company, find someone who knows about the person they’re talking to, a guy who’s got some real backstory."
