If you haven't noticed already, 2018 is basically the year that every iconic trend came back to life. The indestructible Nokia brick that you used to have as a kid is back, a new SNES literally just came out a few weeks ago, people are running around playing Pokémon, and now, adidas Originals has revived one of the most iconic sneakers in history… well, sort of.
Building on the revolutionary adidas Micropacer of 1984, the aptly dubbed adidas Originals Micro R1 takes influence from the past but steps into the future. Dropping in its OG colourway, the Micro R1 is crafted from supple leather panels, and sits on a full length Boost midsole which is taken straight from the legendary NMD R1. Pale blue Three Stripe branding runs down the lateral and medials side for a retro aesthetic, and to round it all off, the Nomad's signature heel tab is present for added convenience.
Making its debut on September 1st, let us know what you think of the adidas Originals Micro R1 down in the comments section below. In other hybrid sneaker news, take a look at the adidas Originals ZX 4000 4D.
